what is rc&D?
The High Country Resource Conservation and Development Area, Inc. (HCRC&D) was created in 1979 to assist our region by providing specialized technical assistance and support to projects that support and enhance sustainable economies, environments, and communities.
The HCRC&D Council is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, and serves over 185,000 people in Bonneville, Butte, Clark, Custer, Fremont, Jefferson, Lemhi, Madison, Teton counties and a portion of Teton County, Wyoming.
Our Mission is to help people and organizations obtain the resources and expertise needed to address issues and implement projects that improve the quality of life for people who live, work, and play in Southeast Idaho and the West Slope of the Tetons. We specialize in helping local governments, agencies, and other organizations work across jurisdictional boundaries to address regional issues.
Our Goal is to provide the following services to individuals, local governments, organizations, agencies, and others within our service area to achieve our mission:

- Project development (finding partners, resources, and expertise) to address local and regional issues.
- Funding Searches
- Grant Writing
- Grant management
- Project management if necessary
- Provide a 501 (c) 3 umbrella to non-incorporated groups for projects. (We become a formal partner on the project to provide this service.)
- Coordinating and Facilitating multi-jurisdictional groups for the purpose of addressing regional and/or multi-jurisdictional issues.
